Mill Creek MetroParks, the second largest metroparks in the United States, is located in the middle of Youngstown, Ohio. The south end of the park starts south of Youngstown in the suburb of Boardman and follows the Mill Creek through the South and West Side of Youngstown until Mill Creek meets the Mahoning River near downtown Youngstown. Located 12 miles south of Mill Creek Metroparks in Columbiana, Ohio, Birdfish Brewing is one of the newer craft brewers in the area (their first location opened in 2015). Many of their beers are unfiltered, hazy New England style beers with plenty of flavor and punch. Birdfish Brewing has two locations in Columbiana; “Up Top” is their smaller location with 5 beers on tap and limited location. “Down Low” is their newer location that opened in the Fall of 2018. Food options are limited to a food truck parked at Down Low and local pizza delivery. Down Low is kid friendly with plenty of activities including around a dozen pinball machines and an assortment of board games.
